September 3rd 9am - 6pm
Members are invited to come to Ffynnon for the day: join your community for morning meditation, take a yoga or magical arts class, commune and explore our trails and sacred spaces, or just do your thing. Dress for the weather, bring a lunch, and allow yourself to move and breathe with the forest and land.
Class descriptions coming soon! More detailed instructions will be provided to registered members closer to the dates.
Member Day Schedule
11 - 11:30 AM - Silent Meditation with Harpocrates
Come and sit in meditation and silence together with your community as we collectively invoke Harpocrates, the Greco-Egyptian God of Silence. Plan to arrive by 10:30 am and find a comfortable seat. Our silent practice will begin at 11 am.
Please be considerate and respectful of those around you when you arrive, knowing that if you are late, the practice of silence has already begun, so SHUSH! Do not engage in conversation, quietly make your seat amongst friends.
11:30 - 12:30 PM - Re: Incarnate with Melichios
Re: Incarnation. Explorations of our “embodiment” with movements and mediations informed by traditional practices, imaginal and physical, sacred and profane.
1 - 2 PM - Sing, Move, Breathe with Tasha
Sing: Chant in a call and response style. Sometimes names of the divine. Sometimes lyrics from musical theatre.
Move: Your body was meant to move and we will do so, in a supportive, yet free way!
Breathe: Both of the above require breathing. We will focus deeply on our breath to connect us to movement, singing, and relax into the space around us.
2:30 - 3:30 PM - Beginning Magical Arts with Paradoxos
Join us for an exploration and practice in the Hermetic Magical Arts. Much like a yoga or tai chi class, let us train together in fundamental practices that help to develop our magical bodies of Light. The Tree of Life will be our guide as we work with the all important Breathe and Imagination, we will engage our bodies and minds, and explore how the Magic of Light flows and shapes our sphere of sensation.
What to expect:
- Wear loose clothing, able to move and bend
- You may want a second set of lighter footwear for classes
- Classes are for all levels and traditions
- We have limited chairs and cushions, you are welcome to bring a yoga mat, sitting pillow or chair, blankets or props of any kind
- Bring any food or beverages you may need for the day
