May 17th - 19th
Join us for a three day festival to awaken the energies of Spring in the Earth Goddess and in ourselves.
Loosely based on British May Day festivals, it is a festival of flowers, bonfires, feasting, and dancing. We help awaken the energies of Spring in the Earth Goddess and in ourselves. The Main Ritual includes the procession of the ‘Obby ‘Oss who brings in fertility of every kind participants desire. The ‘Oss sometimes captures folks beneath his skirt—and they get special blessings. Accompanied by The People and music, the ‘Oss leads us to the merry May Pole to dance our winding dance.
- Bonfires and dancing Friday and Saturday night
- Community feast on Saturday in which we all gather together and feed each other beautiful, delightful things; bring sharable finger-type foods
- Request all to bring flowers from which to make crowns and decorate the hoop at the top of the May Pole
